As per the new memorandum published by the Ministry of
Internal Affairs on March 28, 2020; passengers will no longer be able to travel
with airlines and busses without a Travel Permit, starting from 06:00 on March
29, 2020.
Accordingly, travel permits can only be issued by the
Travel Permit Boards, which located on airports, to airline passengers (i) who
have been dispatched by the doctor's decision due to their treatment needs; (ii) whose first degree relative died
or have severe illness; (iii) people
who do not have a place to stay (especially those who arrive on the concerned
province/place in the last 15 days); (iv)
those who certify from the relevant professional chambers that they are working
in the production and supply processes of basic human needs. There will be no
restrictions for high level public officials and other public servants whose
services are needed within the framework of their duties.
Similar to the effects in global aviation industry, this measure will add more impacts on Turkish aviation industry.
